Staying connected is important—a message from SMPS leadership

Here at SMPS HQ, we want to express a spirit of solidarity and to share with you the support you can expect from us in the coming weeks.

Throughout our membership, people have the mandate to work at home full-time (perhaps a first-time experience for some) and many of our members are seeking ways to continue the business of their firms in thoughtful and responsible ways. Our professional team and volunteers are already developing content specifically to help you lead in the current environment. Along with the development of new content, we are making our latest online program available to you at no charge.

Members can get started today with our new A/E/Courses: use promo code HQcares2020 through May 31, 2020.

We know most of our chapters are canceling their events in the immediate future and considering what to do in the long term (probably through the end of the summer). We are also committed to providing our chapters the support they need.

During these challenging times, staying connected with each other is so important. When we cannot get together in-person, let’s do so online. For example, HQ is hosting a conversation thread in MySMPS to share and collect ideas on how to do business. Members are talking about how to work at home, implement business development strategies remotely, and developing crisis communications plans, for example. Please join this group today.

We are dedicated to your success. In the coming months, if you need assistance, please let us know at membership@smps.org.

Please look for future correspondence from the Society as we continue to support you and your firm. In the meantime, thank you for your membership and resiliency.

Most sincerely,

Melissa Lutz, FSMPS, CPSM
President

Michael V. Geary, CAE
Chief Executive Officer
