Announcing Our New 2018-19 Volunteer Leaders

The Society for Marketing Professionals Services (SMPS) is grateful for the enthusiastic response to our invitation for members to serve in volunteer leadership roles. The Nominations and Elections Committee thoroughly reviewed all the qualified applications and is pleased to present the slate of officers, directors, and trustees for the forthcoming fiscal year.

In accordance with the SMPS bylaws, the following candidates have been appointed by the Nominations and Elections Committee to fill three open positions on the 2018–19 SMPS board of directors:

  • President-Elect: Melissa Lutz, FSMPS, CPSM, Principal, Champlin Architecture, Cincinnati, OH (Term: September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2019)
  • At-Large Director: Elizabeth M. Harris, FSMPS, CPSM, Vice President, United Consulting, Norcross, GA (Term: September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2020)
  • At-Large Director: Catherine McCullough, CPSM, President/CEO, McCullough Landscape Architecture Inc., San Diego, CA (Term: September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2020)

Four current directors will continue serving on the SMPS board in 2018–19 in the following positions:

  • President: Chris Rickman, FSMPS, CPSM, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, ZFI Engineering Co., Oklahoma City, OK (Term: September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2019)
  • Past-President: Nancy J. Usrey, FSMPS, CPSM, Associate Vice President, HNTB Corporation, Plano, TX (Term: September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2019)
  • At-Large Director: Stacy Stout, FSMPS, CPSM, Principal, BRANDiac Strategies, Centennial, CO (Term: September 1, 2017, to August 31, 2019)
  • Secretary-Treasurer: Barbara Stiles, FSMPS, CPSM, Transportation Business Development Manager, Wantman Group, Inc., Ocoee, FL (Term: September 1, 2017, to August 31, 2019)

The Nominations and Elections Committee also recommended and the SMPS board approved the following SMPS Foundation member trustee in 2018–2019:

  • Donna Corlew, FSMPS, CPSM, Chief WIT Officer, C*Connect, Kingston Springs, TN (Term: September 1, 2018, to August 31, 2020)

The following member trustees will continue to serve on the SMPS Foundation board in 2018–19:
