This year, SMPS will honor and shine the spotlight on even more A/E/C professionals and firms! In addition to our current recognition programs, the three new awards will recognize emerging leaders, business developers, and innovative firms.
“We’re excited to recognize A/E/C professionals who not only demonstrate exceptional leadership and accomplishments but also firms that lead by example through marketing innovation,” states Molly Dall’Erta, director of member recognition and programs.
The submission window for Emerging Leader of the Year, Business Developer of the Year, and Marketing Innovation Firm of the Year is February 12-May 1, 2024. Self nominations are encouraged as well as nominations from SMPS members. Winners will be announced at Amplify A|E|C, the Society’s annual conference, which will be held from July 24-26 in Salt Lake City.

SMPS Emerging Leader of the Year
This award recognizes an emerging leader who has demonstrated leadership, exceptional contributions in the A/E/C industries and who has been an SMPS member for minimum of three years and no more than five years of A/E/C work experience. SMPS Business Developer of the Year
This award recognizes SMPS members who have demonstrated significant and measurable accomplishments in their role as business developer at their firm at various levels of experience. Nominees must demonstrate significant and measurable accomplishments both procuring and retaining clients in their role as business developer at their firm. This recognition will showcase the vital role of business developers within the A/E/C industries. Up to three recipients may be recognized for this award. SMPS Marketing Innovation Firm of the Year
This award recognizes an A/E/C firm that implements innovative marketing communications ideas, processes, programs, and/or services that help transform their firm or industry and encourages marketing innovation and adaptation.
