Any news you’d like to share? My team of CPSM sales managers, marketers, and graphic designers have been asked by our C-suite to help train other sector marketing teams across the globe! Our water group sets the bar high!
How has SMPS helped you in your career? SMPS has provided me with a very expansive network of fellow peers. This networking circle provides opportunity to meet new people as well as share information about industry happenings and news. SMPS also provides so many opportunities to further my education by offering trainings and conferences. It has really been great connecting with so many new people that work in the same environment!
Helpful hint to share with your fellow SMPS members: Use your network and your connections! Do not be afraid to reach out to people you do not know and connect. You never know how much you could learn from another as well as how much you can help them!
Tell us something we would be surprised to learn about you: I am an enrolled Crow Tribe Native American from Billings, MT and I love to hunt and fish! I find such accomplishment in being able to hunt and process our own game animals to feed the family.
What I did at work yesterday: I coached a terrific and talented team of engineers to go win a huge water project for the company.
As a CPSM, how has certification benefitted you? Once awarded the certification, I was quickly promoted within the sales team as well as given an increase in pay. In addition, I am now able to attend conferences to connect with so many more people as well as continue to expand my knowledge and training within the industry and then bring that back to my team at Stantec. My peers have also noticed how committed I am to further my learning and training in order to help them win work in my role here at Stantec.
