Chapter Recognition

Chapter Recognition Program

The SMPS Chapter Recognition Program showcases smart practices in chapter management and provides more visibility to all chapters. Recognition is determined solely through the mandatory annual Education and Finance Reports. Chapters are automatically evaluated within their size category. No additional submission or application is needed.

The accomplishments narrative included in the Chapter Education Report will be used to showcase chapter achievements across the Society. SMPS HQ will review the annual data reports provided and choose winners in each category by April 3, 2026.

All 58 chapters will be assessed using the data provided to SMPS HQ in their chapter annual reports.  Performance will be evaluated across the following areas for the fiscal year:

  • Membership Retention and Growth
  • Educational and Programming events
  • Financial Health
The chapters meeting the highest benchmarks in these categories, adjusted for chapter size, will receive a website badge and will be highlighted through:
  • Chapter Leader Newsletter
  • Marketer journal
  • Marketer QuickLook
  • SMPS HQ social media channels
