Recapping the two-day portion of the CPSM immersion program.

We kicked off Roadmap to Certification in Atlanta in May 2016 and had participants from all over the country, from different backgrounds and experience levels.

So what was the two-day program like?

  • It was lively and diverse
  • There was no lecture
  • There was no PowerPoint
  • There was great discussion
  • Participants shared varying perspectives and experiences
  • We learned
  • And, we had fun

We ended up with a solid program focused on the most important and impactful concepts from each of the six SMPS Domains of Practice. The program will not only help participants prepare for the exam but help them advance their career and their firm.

As Matt mentioned in his post, Defining R2C, we poured through a lot of materials trying to create the course, and as we did, a common five-step process surfaced. We incorporated this process into the program and unveiled it at the inaugural R2C. We believe it serves as the basis for almost every marketing and business development activity encountered.

Overall, I think attendees walked away with ideas, inspiration, and best practices to put into practice immediately in their roles as marketers and business developers in the A/E/C industries.

We plan to do all of this and more when we bring the program to Atlanta again in May. Hope to see you there!
