The SMPS Foundation Announces the 20202021 Board of Trustees

The SMPS Foundation promotes A/E/C research and education that advances professional services marketing.

Alexandria, VA (August 31, 2020) The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Foundation is pleased to announce its 2020–2021 board of trustees. The new board takes office on September 1, 2020.

When asked what were the goals and research initiatives that the board is looking forward to this year, Donna Corlew, FSMPS, CPSM, president of the SMPS Foundation, said, “We plan to extend the work of our 2018 Neuropsychology of Influence and Decision-Making report as well expand research related to further understanding the buying practices by owners. We’re also launching new research to support Society directives in the areas of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion and marketing and business development career paths.” Corlew adds that SMPS is excited to continue advancing professional services marketing and providing valuable, relevant content to members. “And as always, we thank all of the generous donors who make our research possible and hope our findings will encourage members, chapters, and firms to continue to support the SMPS Foundation.”

The Nominations and Elections Committee recommended and the SMPS board approved the following SMPS Foundation member trustees in 2020–21:

  • President: Donna Corlew, FSMPS, CPSM, chief whatever it takes officer, C*Connect, Kingston Springs, TN (Term: September 1, 2020, to August 31, 2022) (Second term)

The following trustees will continue to serve on the SMPS Foundation board in 2020–21:

  • President-Elect: Andrea Goodwin, CPSM, communications manager, BGE, Inc., Houston, TX (Term: September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2021) (Second term)
