SMPS Releases 2014–15 Year In Review Infographic
Alexandria, VA−The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), the premier A/E/C marketing and business development association, announces the release of its Year in Review infographic. Available for download on the SMPS website, the Year in Review provides a breakdown of growth and achievements, as well as programs initiated within the 2014–2015 fiscal year.
During this period, SMPS maintained an 84% average retention rate among membership, which exceeds the mean renewal rate of 76% for other individual membership associations*. It also reported a three percent increase in membership from the previous fiscal year.
“The infographic reflects the fact that the A/E/C markets are back and growing, and SMPS members are contributing to this. It’s great to see our programs and resources continue to be relevant and beneficial to marketing and business development professionals. A positive, forward-thinking mood is permeating the profession as we prepare for 2016 and beyond,” said SMPS Chief Executive Officer Michael V. Geary, CAE.
The 2014–2015 Year in Review includes a membership summary broken down by firm size, gender, job function, and firm discipline. In addition, it incorporates statistics on professional development offered, connections made through social media, and recognition and awards. SMPS had several new initiatives during this time, including an enhanced members-only online community, its Honorary Fellows Program, and the launch of SMPS Publications, its new publishing imprint. The SMPS Foundation also completed several new projects, including surveys on hit rates and business development.
