SMPS Greater Cincinnati has provided remarkable programming, leadership, and chapter management.
Alexandria, VA (August 7, 2019) – The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) is pleased to announce that SMPS Greater Cincinnati has been recognized as the 2019 Striving for Excellence Grand-Prize Winning Chapter. The chapter was honored at Build Business 2019, the SMPS annual conference, during the “R.I.S.E Luncheon” on Thursday, August 1, in Washington, D.C.
The chapter most notably has sustained a membership retention rate of 88 percent, increased their new member rate by 14 percent, showed dedication to their community and the SMPS Foundation by donating more than $7,000 to charities, and reached their education goals with over 50 attendees as the average attendance rate for their monthly programming.
Jennifer Danforth, CPSM, past president of SMPS Greater Cincinnati, said, “None of the chapter’s remarkable achievements would happen without the dedication and hard work of our board and members. Our members volunteer to serve on committees and the board and work tirelessly to promote, plan, and execute meaningful chapter events and programming. We are honored and humbled to not only be recognized by our peers as an outstanding chapter but as the SFE Grand Prize winner.”
Megan Miller, CPSM, president of SMPS Greater Cincinnati, said, “The Greater Cincinnati chapter is fortunate to have dedicated board members, passionate volunteers and amazing members of varying levels of experience. These people are the heart of this chapter and have worked together to not only deliver exceptional programming and networking opportunities for members and industry leaders, but also better position our chapter for success for years to come.”
The Striving for Excellence (SFE) Awards recognize chapters for excellence in management and service to members. The SFE objectives emphasize a chapter’s programming and education, chapter leadership and management, membership growth and retention, communications, and financial health.
