SMPS Awards Rachael Frohardt as 2019 Chapter President of the Year

SMPS Awards Rachael Frohardt as 2019 Chapter President of the YearAlexandria, VA (August 5, 2019)The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) is pleased to announce that Rachael Frohardt, SMPS Central Florida Chapter president, has been recognized as the 2019 Chapter President of the Year. Frohardt was honored at Build Business 2019, the SMPS annual conference, during the “R.I.S.E Luncheon” on Thursday, August 1, in Washington, D.C.

Frohardt is most notably known for her hands-on approach and generous spirit, leveraging professional working relationships to secure partnerships with premier organizations. She has worked on increasing the awareness of SMPS Central Florida, secured feature articles in regional and local publications, and recruited the future of the Central Florida A/E/C industry through speaking engagements. As president, Frohardt retained 92 percent of the membership base, which is 10 points above the national average and increased non-member programming attendance by 75 percent through the “first free” marketing mechanics programs.

When asked about Frohardt’s candidacy, Brooke Bourgeois, 2017-2018 director of communications of SMPS Central Florida said, “During Rachael’s president-elect year, she asked me to lunch. She encouraged me to consider stepping up and fulfilling the role as director of communications for the next year…I felt appreciated that Rachael took the opportunity to build trust with me and inspired leadership from not only myself, but others as well.”

The Chapter President of the Year Award recognizes an SMPS chapter president, who has demonstrated excellence in leadership while serving the chapter and its members. The nomination process includes both self and peer nominations and must be submitted by a current SMPS member.
