Our Work Is Inspired by You

Like many of our members, I attended Build Business 2019 in Washington, D.C. I came away very impressed with the entire experience from top to bottom. The conference committee and SMPS staff focused on putting the Society’s best foot forward and they pulled it off. From the keynotes to the educational offerings to the Evening of Excellence—even the branding, signage and graphics—every piece was thought through and executed. Build Business 2019 was one of the most polished, professional conferences that I’ve attended. And I’ve been to a bunch of them.

The SMPS Foundation was fortunate to have several opportunities to inform attendees about our work over the last twelve months. During a Friday morning breakout session at the conference, we outlined the research we have underway and the initiatives we plan to implement in the coming year. We also had time for a good conversation with those who attended to get ideas for research topics they felt could impact their companies and careers. I was especially excited about two things: the ideas we got and the number of younger attendees in the room offering them. It underlined my belief that the SMPS Foundation is doing good work and will continue to do so.

As always, I want to thank you on behalf of the Foundation for your contributions. Our work is inspired by you and is a direct result of your financial support. We simply couldn’t do it without you. If you’re interested in helping our efforts, I invite you to make a tax-deductible donation.

Your support will directly contribute to the development of future initiatives that support our industries and professionals like you.
