MCA jury

Shaping the standards of A/E/C excellence

The Marketing Communications Awards (MCA) jury is made up of professionals who dedicate their time to volunteer as judges in the Marketing Communications Awards. Jurors spend countless hours evaluating numerous entries focusing on criteria that showcase the marketing objectives, research and planning, messaging, target audiences, and results of the project.

The MCAs, an annual awards program hosted by SMPS since 1977, is the longest-standing awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firm in the A/E/C industry.

Apply to be a juror

As an SMPS member, you will receive email invitation in January with a link to the juror application.

All juror spots are given on a first-come, first-served basis, and assignments are done at random. The juror application will be available until February 15 or until the juror quota is met, whichever is first. There’s a limit to the number of jurors that will be accepted, depending on the number of entries submitted. Once the online juror application closes no additional applications will be accepted.

Importance of anonymity

Members of the MCA jury serve with the utmost confidentiality and remain anonymous to ensure integrity and impartiality of the selection process. This anonymity protects the jurors work from external influences, and fosters unbiased decision-making. Jurors are announced after the awards ceremony takes place at Amplify A|E|C.
