Allen Gannett Explains Flashes of Genius
During this year’s Build Business conference, August 15–17 in San Diego, CA, attendees will hear two keynote presentations. Both speakers are marketing gurus who offer unique views on getting ahead in today’s technology-driven businesses.
Marketer recently caught up with Friday’s closing keynote speaker Allen Gannett, founder and CEO of TrackMaven, a marketing software company whose mission is to make every marketer data driven by providing one centralized marketing analytics platform. Gannett has been on the “30 Under 30” lists for Inc. and Forbes and is a contributor for FastCompany.com.
In his keynote presentation, Gannett will focus on creativity. Often, people view creativity as constant brainstorming punctuated by sudden flashes of genius. They don’t see it as something you can be intentional or methodical about. Gannett will disprove this, explain how flashes of genius actually happen, and provide ways any creator can increase the odds of making them happen.
The presentation is based on two years of research for Gannett’s just-published book, The Creative Curve: How to Develop the Right Idea, at the Right Time, where he interviewed dozens of the world’s leading creatives and talked to scientists and academics who study the field.
While waiting for the bus at the Canadian Internet Marketing Conference where he presented, Gannett shared a glimpse into his keynote and research, and how you can leverage creativity in your personal life, career, and company.
