The recent SMPS Fellows survey highlighted that Fellows believe marketing and business development professionals need to be more engaged in strategic planning and need to have a seat at the leadership table. The 2022 Fellows Forum welcomes Jacob McAllister from the Oliver Group who will provide an overview of the Leadership Pipeline principles, which are designed to help you leverage your skills, work values, and time applications to be an influential member of the leadership team.

This program, curated by Brandy Little, FSMPS, CPSM and Russ Sanford, FSMPS, CPSM, will feature a presentation and breakout sessions for participants.

Brandy Little, CPSM, FSMPS has worked in the design and construction industry for more than 25 years. She has worked independently since 2011 and now leads Brand DNA Advisors as CEO. The company focuses on team coaching and strategies that help strengthen a firm’s culture by connecting people strategies to the client experience. Her reach extends beyond the AEC industry in support of non-profits and other professional services firms.

Her SMPS journey began in 1999, and Brandy has volunteered in various chapter, regional, and Society roles for 19 consecutive years, including Los Angeles Chapter President, Pacific Regional Conference co-founder, Chapter Leaders Symposium co-chair, and Los Angeles Professional Development Director with responsibility for mentorship and CPSM certification.  Brandy was named a Fellow in 2021.  Additionally, she is proud to have volunteered for EmpowHER Institute whose mission is to provide girls in marginalized communities with vital life skills to succeed, and WHW who uses coaching to empower female professionals in improving their employment status.

Russ is an engineer by education, but a business leader by choice.  He is passionate about helping technical professionals learn and master the art of winning work!  He serves as a strategist, coach, and mentor for technical professionals while developing a seller/doer culture at Kleinschmidt, a national engineering and environmental consulting firm with a focus on energy, water, and the environment.

Russ earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering and has over 25 years of marketing, business development, and sales experience within professional service firms including engineering, construction, and architecture.   He is a Fellow and a Certified Professional Services Marketer (FSMPS, CPSM) from the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

Jacob McAllister is a proficient talent acquisition and leader development professional with 10+ years of experience in forging strategic relationships, employing internal and external resources, and business development.

Jacob began his career in the “people business” as an external recruiter partnering with organizations to find the right talent for key roles at all levels of the organization. That experience created opportunities for Jacob to become a trusted advisor in all areas of talent development.  Jacob holds his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Milligan University.

At Oliver Group, Jacob consults at the executive level, working with organizations who seek assessments and consulting services, including the Predictive Index®, Team and Leader Development. His main focus is to assist organizations with aligning their talent and business strategies.
