Yes, there are 6.5 CEUs available for CPSMs and 6.5 learning units available for AIA members.
I am new to SMPS. Are there any discounts available for the annual conference Build Business?
Yes. New members are eligible for a flat-rate conference registration fee of $900 during their first year of membership.
What is included with my full registration for Build Business?
Your full registration includes an invitation to the opening reception, continental breakfast and lunch on both days, one ticket to the awards gala, and access to all general sessions and educational breakout sessions.
Is CPSM day and the Friday Night Social included with my Build Business registration?
CPSM day and the Friday night social are an additional registration fee.
Do I need to register for Build Business educational breakout sessions?
No, you don’t need to register for sessions. You can add them to your outlook calendar right from the Build Business web page, once the sessions become available.
Prepare to Win
What is Prepare to Win?
Prepare to Win is a virtual workshop series. It provides six CPSM CEUs or AIA learning units.
How is Prepare to Win different from SMPS webinars?
Prepare to Win includes four instructor-led modules over a four-week period with outside assignments that incorporate instructor communication during the month-long series. An SMPS webinar is a one-time interactive seminar with no assignments or additional instructor communication.
How often are the online courses taught?
Each module will take place once a week for four consecutive weeks and last 75-90 minutes. The current series, Your Guide to Proposal Success, takes place on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. ET. Upcoming series’ themes and timelines are still being determined.
What if I miss a live session?
All sessions will be recorded so participants can log in during the week of the module and view the recorded session on demand.
Can we participate in this virtual workshop as a group?
The Prepare to Win workshop series is designed for individual learning. A course completion certificate will only be awarded to the registrant at the end of the workshop.
How long are the webinars?
The webinars are 90 minutes long, typically consisting of 75 minutes worth of content and 15 minutes for live Q&A.
Can I view a webinar at a later date?
Yes, there are two different options. You can purchase an online archived link of the webinar, which will be available 48 hours after the live presentation and viewable twice. The other option is to purchase a CD-Rom of the presentation, which will take 7-10 business days to receive by mail.
Can I set up the webinar in a conference room?
Yes, many firms and chapters set up at a location for many people to view the webinar together.
Will there be time for live Q&A during the webinar?
Yes, there will be a couple opportunities for live Q&A during the webinar. Audience members can type a question into the chat box and the speaker will answer verbally.
If I sign up for the live version and can’t attend what will happen?
If you do not log-in to view the live webinar, your order will automatically become an online archive recording. You will receive instructions and a link via email to view the presentation.
