About SMPS One-Pager
This at-a-glance marketing material can be sent to prospective members, those who are on the fence about renewing, recently lapsed members, or members who need a reminder of member benefits. This digital version can also be printed out and brought to chapter events.
About SMPS One-Pager for Students
Are you attending any school-related job fairs or hosting an event for students? This at-a-glance PDF provides a quick glance at the SMPS benefits for student members.
Member “Come Back” Messaging
SMPS HQ has put together sample copy that your chapter can use when emailing or calling a member who has recently dropped. This messaging can be tweaked, depending on the chapter volunteer sending or the individual receiving.
Prospect Message
Has a non-member attended one of your chapter events recently and provided their email address? SMPS HQ also has sample prospect messaging your chapter can use to reach out. Again, use as you wish or tweak to turn it into your own voice.

Membership Moments

SMPS Extranet
Did you know that you can pull your chapter’s membership roster, as well as the new, transferred, renewing and reinstated members reports? From welcoming a new member to thanking a renewing one, you can use these reports to reach out and make members feel like they’re part of our community. To access the reports, log in to your member profile and locate the Chapter Reports Extranet under the Quick Links at the left. Access is provided to the chapter president, president-elect, and membership chair, but two additional volunteers can be included for a total of five chapter leaders.
Chapter Activity Reports
These reports are sent to chapters when a new member joins, an active member renews, a lapsed member reinstates, or when a membership transfer takes place. Consider reaching out to these members to welcome them (or welcome them back!) to the Society. It’s a great retention tool and helps make the member feel like part of the community. The chapter membership director is the primary contact to receive these reports, but additional volunteers can be included.
ShopSMPS
Have you visited the ShopSMPS store lately? Consider ordering some items to provide to attendees for your in-person events. You’ll find a variety of branded merchandise including mugs, tote bags, sticker, and tee-shirts. Not seeing an item you’d like at your upcoming event? Contact us and let us know.
