Gavin Parr

Gavin is a principal/director of business for CCS international, a best-in-class capital project management and cost management services firm. He is responsible for marketing and business development throughout the Midwest. He has been with CCS International Inc. since 2000 and has developed a strong understanding of marketing in the A/E/C industries through a large network of clients. Gavin served as past-president of SMPS Chicago and is also a member of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).

Doug Parker

Doug Parker, FSMPS, CPSM, is a strategic marketer and brand champion with more than 22 years of experience. Doug began his career in A/E/C marketing in 1996 and has served as associate principal/marketing director for firms ranging from a 30-person sole proprietorship to a 250-person national firm with nine offices. In 2009, he joined a law firm where he served as chief marketing and operations officer. Today, after taking a year-long sabbatical, Doug is a founding partner with The BirdDog Team, a marketing consultancy focused on strategic development and operations for professional services firms.

As Managing Director at ZWEIG GROUP, Jen Newman, CPSM utilizes her 20 + years of AEC specific experience to help firms grow their people and profits while ELEVATING THE INDUSTRY. To Jen, there is no greater satisfaction than helping others achieve their goals. She has developed a reputation for helping firms improve processes, create better leaders, train and retain talent, convert doers into successful doer-sellers, differentiate through client experience, create award winning campaigns, increase brand loyalty and develop winning strategies that lead to successful firm growth. She works with every client to develop recommendations for customized programs and services specific to their needs. With an energetic and enthusiastic style, she makes growth fun. Throughout her career, Jen has served in leadership positions for numerous industry and community organizations such as SMPS, ASHE, APWA, WTS and the YMCA earning recognition for her service. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jen and her husband Derek are air warriors both professionally and personally feeding their passion for travel and experiencing the world.

Amy Moen

Amy Moen’s professional journey began in academics and art: she holds an M.F.A. in printmaking from The University of Texas at Austin. In the mid ’90s, after helping a friend market his architecture practice, she found a new world where her art-making processes were a fit. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in marketing and selling professional services for A/E firms. SMPS Houston has recognized her with the Hall of Fame, the Marketing Excellence, and the Rock of the Chapter Awards. In addition, Amy is actively involved in Construction Owners Association of America (COAA), Rice Design Alliance (RDA), and the Architecture Center Houston Foundation.
