Awards and Recognition juries

Highlighting recognition in A/E/C

The awards and recognition juries are made up of professionals who dedicate their time to volunteer as judges in the Chapter President of the Year, SMPS Fellows Recognition, Weld Coxe Marketing Achievement Award, Marketing Innovation Firm of the Year Award, Business Developer of the Year Award, and the Emerging Leader of the Year Award programs. Jurors spend countless hours evaluating numerous nominations and entries focusing on criteria that showcase each program’s unique eligibility and results of the project.

Chapter President of the Year

The jury for the Chapter President of the Year program is comprised of past SMPS chapter leaders and previous CPY recipients. This jury includes a chair who is the previous year’s CPY recipient. Members of the jury reflect diverse demographic, including but not limited to geographic location, chapter leadership role, professional discipline, etc.

SMPS Fellows

The jury for the SMPS Fellows Recognition program is comprised of SMPS Fellows only. The jury includes a chair, incoming chair, board liaison position, and an additional four individual Fellows. The current president-elect will serve as a board liaison only (non-voting). Jurors are asked to serve a two-year term (with exception of the incoming chair). The incoming chair will serve a total of three years with the following succession: incoming chair, chair, past chair.

Weld Coxe Marketing Achievement Award

The panel includes the most recent WCMAA winner and the Society Past President, who both serve as co-chairs. To ensure diverse perspectives, jury members are chosen to represent a range of demographics, including geographic location, volunteer roles, and professional disciplines. Invitations to serve on the jury are extended via email, along with a link to the juror application.
