    Deadlines announced for 2016 SMPS Marketing Communications Awards Program

    Mark your calendars now to make sure your entries arrive on time:
    • Early discounted entry deadline: Monday, March 1, 2016  (Must be postmarked by this date)
    • Final entry deadline: Monday, March 15, 2016  (Must be delivered to SMPS HQ by this date)

    New for 2016

    • New categories have been added. In addition, some categories have been broken down into sub-categories for easy selection.
    • New discounts for early-deadline submissions!
    • New simplified question and answer format on entry form which replaces the old clarification statement requirement!

    About the Marketing Communications Awards

    The SMPS Marketing Communications Awards Program is the longest-standing, most prestigious awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the design and building industry.The program provides an unparalleled opportunity for professionals to showcase their best marketing practices and to educate the industry about the critical role of marketing in a successful firm.

    This competition is open to SMPS members and nonmembers employed in US and international professional services firms. Marketing communication projects completed between January 2014 and December 2015 will be accepted for the 2016 competition.

    All finalists are honored on stage and with an award during the SMPS Awards Gala on August 11 in Philadelphia, held in conjunction with Build Business, the Society's annual conference. Winning entries will be on display throughout the conference, August 10–12, for the benefit of the attendees.

    In addition, winning firms are promoted to industry media and building industry associations, in SMPS publications including Marketer, on the SMPS Web site and social media channels, and in DesignIntelligence’s Almanac of Architecture & Design.
