Alfred K. Potter, II, FSMPS, was named the 2011 Weld Coxe Marketing Achievement Award recipient during the SMPS Awards Gala on August 25 in Chicago. Al is a senior vice president and director of business development for Gilbane Building Company in Providence, RI.

About the Weld Coxe Marketing Achievement Award
This preeminent SMPS individual honor salutes professionals whose achievements and lasting contributions to the professional services marketing field are exemplary.
To be eligible, a nominee must be an SMPS member and have demonstrated significant and measurable accomplishments in at least three of the following five areas:
- Research
- Education
- Professional Leadership
- Marketing Communications
- Innovative Programs
Both self and peer nominations are welcome.
The award recipient is honored during the SMPS National Conference.
