| Peter
Lyon Announces Annual Invitation for Fellow Recognition
Each
year the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) recognizes
individuals who, through their tenure with SMPS, experience in marketing
in the A/E/C industry, and current certification designation (CPSM)
have contributed to the development of marketing professional services
within our industry. Peter A. Lyon, FSMPS, Fellows Delegate on the
SMPS National Board of Directors, has extended an invitation to
all eligible members to apply this year for recognition as a Fellow
of SMPS.
The
SMPS Fellows represent the highest level of experience and leadership
in marketing and business development within the built and natural
environments. Fellows serve as a resource at the chapter, regional,
and national levels, providing insight, ideas, programs, and mentoring
for the benefit of the members and the Society. In addition, these
individuals teach, write, and speak on marketing issues outside
of SMPS, working to advance the profession of marketing professional
services throughout the A/E/C industry. The Fellow designation is
bestowed upon only those marketing professionals who give generously
of their time, talents, and experience to the industry and to the
Society, and who intend to continue this commitment to excellence.
Only
members who have been active in the Society for more than 10 years
and who hold a current certification designation (CPSM) are qualified
to apply for the Fellows Recognition Program. The application requirements
are rigorous and adhere to the high standards set forth for Fellow
recognition. To be considered, applications for Fellow recognition
must be received in the SMPS National Office by Friday, March
31, 2006.
