Special Membership Categories

Emeritus Member

Dues: $30
Paper Application
Eligibility: An active member in good standing who is retired and who has been an active member of SMPS for a minimum of 15 years. Note: Emeritus members may not vote or serve on the National Board of Directors.

Student Member

Dues: $25
Paper Application
Candidate must provide verification of student status at the time of application and when renewing the student membership.

Eligibility: A student enrolled in a full-time study program at an accredited post-secondary institution or a part-time student not employed full time in the A/E/C industry or not otherwise eligible for regular membership in SMPS.

Refer a Member

Help your peers Get Connected to SMPS! Refer a friend or colleague to join SMPS and if that person joins as a new member, you will receive a one-time three month extension on your existing membership. Learn more
