Membership in SMPS provides individuals:

  • Networking opportunities through your local SMPS chapter. Find an SMPS chapter near you and take advantage of educational and networking events.  

  • Career advancement and access to experienced profesionals through the SMPS National Career Center. Search job opportunities or visit our resume bank to identify marketers and business developers with experience in the A/E/C industry.

  • Professional development through national and regional conferences and programs that address the business challenges faced by marketers, business developers, and practitioners in the A/E/C industry.

  • Access to the journal Marketer and other targeted research and publications that provide information on economic trends and topics that impact the A/E/C industry.

  • The opportunity to earn professional credentials via the Certified Professional Services Marketer Program.

  • NEW! A chance to take networking to another level with MySMPS.org.  MySMPS is the new online community designed exclusively for SMPS members. The mission of MySMPS.org is simple: To connect you with people, information, and opportunities to make building business easier. Complete your profile to meet SMPS members with shared professional and personal interests around the globe. Demonstrate your thought leadership by writing your own blog, discover marketing models and samples in the Marketing Resource Center, lead a forum discussion on a hot topic, form a group for committee work, and find out about upcoming national and chapter events.

  • An opportunity for new members to become engaged in the Society and earn a $50 gift card upon completion of the New Member Challenge. First-time members joining SMPS between September 1, 2009 and August 31, 2010 are eligible to participate in the New Member Challenge (student members and transferred members are not eligible). The Challenge requires new members to complete the following items within the first year of membership: inquire about volunteering for your chapter, attend at least 2 chapter educational programs or events, attend 1 National program, and show efforts of networking.
