Rusty Sherwood has three decades of regional, national, and
international business insight, building and leading sales and marketing
organizations and guiding strategic and market growth planning for
corporations and associations.
An executive with McGraw-Hill Construction for 11 years, Rusty has
directed national and international business development for FW Dodge
and co-authored and led the shift to customer-segmented marketing and
sales.
Rusty’s clients include industry-leading global A/E/C firms
including Skanska, Turner, and JE Dunn; top construction service
companies including United Rentals, Hertz, and Travelers Insurance;
international technology firms such as Oracle, Autodesk, and Cisco
Systems; many national and international associations; and the
construction industry’s leading trade unions.
Rusty is founder and chairman of the A/E/C Business Builder’s
Forum, a network and community of the construction industry’s
leading business development and marketing executives. He is a regular
speaker at numerous national construction conferences and events with a
unique 27-year perspective on the U.S. construction marketplace’s
trends, potential, and what top organizations are doing to stay on
top.
Prior to joining McGraw-Hill Construction, Rusty spent 17 years
directing domestic and international business development and marketing
strategy for a number of U.S. and foreign-based construction product
manufacturers and wholesale distribution concerns.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and International
Finance from University of Southern California and a Masters in Business
Management from Pepperdine University.
