November 2009 Think Tank Report, "Breaking Through the
Commoditization Barrier and Creating Strategic Advantage"
This report offers a summary of the critical subject matter
covered during the SMPS Foundation's second Think Tank, "Breaking
Through the Commoditization Barrier and Creating Strategic Advantage,"
held in New York City in November 2009. Over the full-day program, two
distinguished panels composed of practitioners and consultants candidly
discussed current issues impacting the A/E/C industry and how
their respective firms are responding. The morning session looked at the
challenges of integrating marketing and business development in an A/E/C
practice. The afternoon session concentrated on a significant fallout of
the economy: the commoditization of professional services. The report
features the discussions, observations, and recommendations of both
panels; biographies of the panelists and moderators; and a suggested
reading list.
Cost: $50 (This item is available in electronic
format as a password-protected PDF download.)
Special Offer: Purchasers of this report will be
eligible for a $50 discount on the registration fee for the next Think
Tank session, tentatively scheduled for October 12, 2010, in
Washington, DC. Details of the next Think Tank will be announced in
the coming weeks, and information will be e-mailed to all purchasers of
this report.
